CultureDASH.org is a community-powered cultural intelligence platform designed to help cities recognize, protect, and sustain living culture in the digital age.
Inspired by how the U.S. federal government formally recognizes Native American tribal nations—treating culture, identity, and place as enduring civic realities—CultureDASH applies that structural thinking at the city level. Cultural significance is not symbolic alone: CultureDASH recognition awards are formal agreements endorsed by city officials, transforming cultural acknowledgment into actionable civic data.
Each recognition functions as a verified data point—a cultural barometer cities can track over time to identify growth, risk, or decline. These metrics inform storytelling, policy discussions, economic initiatives, and future cultural investments, ensuring culture is not just celebrated but strategically sustained.
This foundation was further shaped by modern municipal frameworks such as San Francisco’s Cultural Heritage Strategy, demonstrating that culture can be mapped, measured, and supported at scale. CultureDASH translates these models into a lightweight, digital-first system powered by community nominations and real-time engagement.
Incubated alongside CultureDASH, the City Vibes – Wilton Drive & FLL App serves as the deployment layer—connecting cultural discovery with economic visibility and public safety. Built with local businesses and law enforcement, City Vibes integrates events, nightlife, landmarks, and GPS-enabled Safe Place locations into a seamless mobile-first experience.
Together, CultureDASH and City Vibes form a technology incubator model where immersive technology, civic validation, and community-driven data ensure culture doesn’t just survive—but thrives.
